Now the other half of my fashion and frank fave masterpiece is a pair of shorts - yep - you heard it - so i am now a 45 year old in shorts and their mums shoes! and that truly is fashion for you - Frankie sends fond hello's xx
Spot the lining
A lesson i have recently learnt - the bag is not quite right with the coat but very right with the trsrs, scarf etc - by adding a couple of accent colours you can make two colours that dont quite work on their own work - it is all in the entire outfit so just keep adding accents, mix mix mix - makes your pieces go further and might prove more interesting
Trousers and Coat Fashion and Frank, bag LV, Shoes Prada, Blouse Equipment,
Hat Borsolino, shawl Eric Bompard
It is a really cute coat! Lovely colour too.
ReplyDeleteI know i adore the colour x
ReplyDeleteI'm becoming a great fan of the F&F pieces: Claire, we knew that you have a great sense of fashion and now you are surprising us with clothes designed by you! The trousers are a classic piece and I truly love the coat: the sleeveless model is an original design, and the fabric and the orange lining are so chic. I'm so curious about the shorts...Have a nice evening!
ReplyDeleteand they so are short too caterina, i might actually just do a shoot myself now i have committed everyones imagination - i am also going to do a quick follow up with the details of these pieces - my three cornerstones of design - fabric, trim and detail - beyond that i am somewhat traditional - surprising myself with that one - then again there are the shorts!! xx
DeleteI love the coat very much! The warm peachy colour is so beautiful and perfect for spring and cooler summer days. You look beauuuuuutiful and your hair's grown so much since I saw you last time! Big kiss to Frankie from me and Ossy. xxx
ReplyDeleteOh Natalia - you are always the sweetest - i know i have been missing meeting up with my hairdresser - i will be sitting on it soon! big kisses and woofs back xx
DeleteBeautiful coat, but i have to say, the stars in this outift for me are the trousers and the shoes. They are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteRed
thanks Red - the trsr has a really unusual double pocket detailing which i think you would really like x
DeleteL.A.L. - like a lady.
ReplyDeleteEAK
I know i am surprising myself - and thank you, very much x
ReplyDeleteI love this mix of light neutrals with the pop of soft orange. Very Spring!
ReplyDeletethe orange is amazing and i always love a soft neutral - they are loving me more and more too! xx
ReplyDeleteI have got to say that this is one heck of a combination - love shot three from the bottom.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much David - i always appreciate your input - as i always say you have one hell of an eye - and that shot was indeed the money shot - really good xx
DeleteLove your coat and bag =)
ReplyDeletethat pop of orange is a great addition to the rainbow of neutrals. and perfectly accessorized if i may add! ;)

ReplyDeletecompletely love the coat because of the interesting color, it is not too bright and too soft! it is a perfect in between coat: still a little bit chilly outside but you can feel the warmth of the sun
ReplyDeleteThe colour is amazing and the contrast which could have been cream is a wonderful buttermilk - gorgeous cloth - british 100% casmere - unfortunately the mill has closed x
DeleteClaire you did a great job with the coat and the trousers!!! OMG!!! I love them!!
ReplyDeleteAnd hey, you're 45? Gosh I am 40 and I look like your grandmother dear! You have to tell me your secret although maybe it's a bit late for me....I am falling apart....

Thanks Ra - it is slow but what we do i love xx
DeleteWhat great pieces Claire, you are very inspiring - tailoring is very key. I remember that post you did about Zara pieces and finding cool buttons, getting tailoring done - that was great, I'm trying to do that with a few of my outfits that need a little change.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested to see what other pieces you come up with!
LR i read recently about having pieces mixed by a tailor ie using half of one dress another of another - also an interesting concept - tailoring for fit and interesting trim are the best way to revive and it is so much more ecologically friendly too xx
DeleteAdoring your outfit! :) It's very classy and tasteful, and love the contrasting textures. I agree on the adding accent colors part... it definitely can transform an outfit! =) I am a new follower, very looking forward to reading your next post! :)
