Boy oh Boy its the Boyfriend Jean

I have a bit of a love/hate when it comes to jeans - i struggle with the skinny - love a wide leg flare and
an old friend, the boyfriend, is definitely tugging at my fashion strings this season and i think you might agree with me when you see my inspiration - so which will be your fave, do you need a fave
or will you dabble all round?? Have a good week xx

Love the shoes, fab fit, fab accessories

All blue and the shoes again - is it all in the pump in all its glorious incarnations??

Fashion and Franks Fave Fashionistas - Uliana Sergienko

This week it is the turn of the Russians again, Uliana Sergienko, this lady owns her own style.  Designer, photographer and bloggers muse.  I feel she is somewhat single-handedly responsible for the revival of the nipped waist, full skirt silhouette.  She is certainly my inspiration when it comes to this season - in fact i purchased my own full skirt this weekend for fall and i will be channelling Uliana all the way.  So here she is our very own little perfect Russian doll xx

Theres that silhouette!!

She knows her sunglasses

Love that Olympia le Tan clutch and the cable knit - fabulous

So graceful

Adore the colour, the print, the rolled sleeves, the silhouette and the shoes, oh the shoes

Helllooo Hat! and oh the handbag

And then there was another hat - and that Leica camera

A different silhouette and one she is also fond of - still strongly her own ladylike retro core style

Austere? never - the lipstick just lifts

Date Night with Mr Fashion and Frank

Had a fabulous couple of weekends, last weekend i worked, shopped and met up with my friend Alison at 4 for a cup of tea and did not get home till midnight - my kind of weekend.  Just having got over that one i had a fabulous night out with the man this Saturday and am now feeling rather rough again!  Pattern anyone??

On another note - how gaumless do i look - if that is the look of love i am surprised Mr F&F is not running for the hills ........

My mums oh so fab little vintage bag

I could hardly walk in the shoes but they were the prettiest i have worn in many a time so hey what are silly shoes for, other than feeling spiritually and metephoricaly the exact opposite of the physical reality xx

Style Musings

Style and all its different musings - that is where i am at this morning.  Now as you can see i had already prepared a post for today but then a couple of things happened that inspired me to put pen to paper (virtually speaking).  First thank you so much Ada at Classiq and Dont call me Fashion Blogger for including me in their style roundups for the recent fashion week madness - i was very flattered and i have to say i loved wearing that very large, very orange hat.  And then this happened, I came across this amazing shot on the Fashionist and it made me think.  I know, thinking on a Tuesday morning, bit of a dangerous thing but hey the little grey cells need an outing every now and then even if it is only to muse on the age old question of personal style ...

I have recently seen quite a few pictures of older women looking absolutely fabulous, the Sartorialist in particular often features ladies who are not the more commonly featured very young, very slim ubiquitous fashionistas that are favoured by popular culture and print.  And that is what i love about the rise of the streetstyle blog and particularly the streetstyle photographers who are bringing to the fore all sorts of style - it may not be your own or even your peers but it is interesting and it opens up your eye.  I look at these pictures and i want to know who they are, what their life entails and where they got all this fabulous inspiration from and that has nothing to do with age, budget, waistline or creed.  And that fascinates me, intriques me, opens up my eye and in the case of this lady makes me love my wrinkles and the fact that time will pass by and should definitely be celebrated in an SJP skirt and a fierce pair of shoes and that is my fashion thought for the day, week and millenia xx

Chloe SS 2012

I have to confess i was disappointed when i heard Hannah McGibbon had left Chloe especially after the fall collection that was my favourite Chloe collection for quite some time.  I did wonder what Claire Wright  Keller would bring to the brand, although she had done a fabulous job at Pringle it was never a collection i bought into.  Well today she answered that question.  There were pieces i liked and there were pieces i loved, loved enough to buy and i guess thats the name of the game xx

And the next four were those that i loved, absolutely loved

Nudes are certainly still alive and well at Chloe, and you know what they look fresh to me
