I decided to start the week with a top sales purchase, some floral, a maxi, some stripes, a hat and 

the uber lovely Celine - now thats how i like to start a week!

This is a post of two halves, as life always is, with all the happiness that you find, you will also find 

sadness too and maybe we need that sadness to know just how very good the happiness is.  

Sometimes that is a hard lesson to learn but with time that realisation does come.

I instantly loved this wonderful happy picture as it so illustrates one of the great joys in my life - 

women with all their foibles, playing dress up in their own grown up world but still little 

girls in their mums' high heels x

 Tomorrow would have been my brothers 42nd birthday, he drowned on his 16th birthday 26 years ago - 

I still miss him, I always will.

I debated hard but I wanted to remember him here because somehow it keeps him alive in my life x

Stripes meet Messrs Dolce and Gabanna

Now as you can see i had a Dolce moment this season - i loved it and it was my go to for the summer.  

This skirt has had a few outings day and night and is surprisingly very versatile not to mention timeless.

Now i am going to wax lyrical about the joys of blogging!! 

 I would have thought the hat and top were too too much, matchy matchy but they work - 

i would not have tried this before - so very chuffed on that score.  I also would have sworn i looked 

silly with hat and glasses and there you go i dont!  

I try new things because i see so many others pushing their style boundaries and because my own confidence and 'eye' have grown.  

As for crossing the road - I can see why the bloggy uber girls do it (and i have now copied it!) - 

soo easy to get a shot.  Must have looked like a right twit crisscrossing one road, flowers in hand,
but hey being a twit is not an entirely new experience for me!

Dolce Date with Mr Fashion and Frank

This is my birthday pressie that i mentioned some months back in April - i loooove it!  Feel so lucky to own such a gorgeous outfit - obviously came over all girlie looking at all the twirling!

Franky found a ball belonging to a neighbouring London dog and there was no way the tealeaf in him was letting go of that so posing was really not going to occur!

Had an amazing night with the man and felt very special x

Resort i certainly would!

I thought i would start the week with an inspiration post to get the fashion forces flowing!

I love the pieces in the Joseph resort collection but more i love the styling - this is something we can

all adopt - the clothing itself is not particularly new but it is all so wearable, the styling is fresh and we all have at least some of it already, so a little style inspiration that won't break the bank, will be on the high street, in our cupboards and/or (fairly obviously) in Joseph come December!

New Shoes

I am a shops dream - it is official!  

Last Saturday whilst waiting for friends on Sloane Street with the man and the frank - 

i popped into sergio rossi - just for a seconds look whilst waiting.  

Well they were late, the sale was on, what could i do - got these total beauties half price!!!  

Bargain! well as my man pointed out only a bargain if they started out well priced 

but in my fashion loving, shoe adoring world they were a good buy!
